The R.L. Drake Company is a privately held company located in Franklin,
Ohio. The company was founded in 1943 by Robert L. Drake, and began as
manufacturer of low pass and high pass filters for the government and amateur radio
market. In 1981, Drake entered the home satellite reception equipment industry.
The demand for satellite receivers throughout the 1980s led to the the manufacture
of commercial satellite receivers and distribution equipment, as well as reception
equipment for the international marketplace.
Drake earned a reputation for the highest quality analogue receivers available
in the European markets but has recently been without any digital reception offerings
outside of the American market. In these recent years, Drake has been servicing the
American cable television markets with both analogue and digital products while
awaiting the perfect opportunity to introduce price competitive digital receivers to the
international market.
Drake Europe S.L. is a modern enterprise dedicated to the manufacture and
commercialisation of Drake Digital Satellite Receivers. With offices located in
Southern Spain, and as the name Drake implies, we provide quality and
technologically advanced products as well as unparalleled customer service, and it is
with that intent that our new office has been restablished in Europe for the Eropean,
Middle Eastern and African markets. The Drake trademark is a benchmark in the
industry for quality and reliability, and after some years of absence from the
marketplace, the Drake European operation has been relaunched to reaffirm our
presence and contribution to an ever expanding industry.
